THIS. IS. LAME! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was supposed to come out on November 21st. But is that going to happen? Nope. Today, studio execs announced they were pushing back the release date to next summer - July 17, 2009.

The reason? You guessed it: money. They'll make more money if they release it in the summer months than around Thanksgiving (I guess).

Like the trailer suggests, a lot of the action in the movie will take place in the past with flashbacks, all focusing on a younf Damien chanelling Tom Riddle who, as we all know, grows up to be the baddest wizard on the block. In case you missed it, here's the latest trailer:
