If you’re an artist that finally wants to break into the big times – all ya gotta do is get on one of five media outlets. A study found that an ad for iTunes is the best way to beef up your success. When STAR Artist Coldplay was in one recently personally playing their song “Viva La Vida,” downloads of the song soared from 295,000 to 950,000. Check out the other top 4 ways to gain immediate success as an artist:
- Appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show
- Have your song in a commercial during the Super Bowl
- Get your song chosen as the iTunes Free Single of the Week
- Have your song performed on American Idol

It’s a Daughtry Baby Boom! Bass player Josh and guitarist Brian just announced both their wives are expecting babies, right around the same time. I guess it’s officially no mystery now what they do on break from tour...

Two-time Indianapolis 500 champion and Dancing with the Stars winner Helio Castroneves has been indicted on federal tax evasion and fraud charges in connection with his alleged use of offshore accounts to hide millions of dollars from the IRS. He’s charged with one count of conspiracy and six counts of tax evasion for purportedly failing to report about 5.5 million dollars in income from 1999 through 2004. Hope he remembers the Cha-Cha because he’ll need some fancy footwork to get out of this mess.

Hustler publisher Larry FLynt has reportedly produced an X-rated movie with an adult film actress who resembles vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. I guess Tina Fey missed her chance to make an easy three grand.

Super fans of STAR Artist David Cook crashed his record company’s website the other day when over 1 million people logged on nearly simultaneously to stream his latest single called “Light On.” His debut album hits stores November 18th.
