American Idols David Cook and David Archuleta appeared together on The View today. It gave the girls a chance to swoon and to ask David Archuleta’s dad about his stage-dad reputation. He said quote “I think they couldn't find anything bad to say about David, so I was just there, and I became kinda like a lightning rod." Both David’s performed, Archuleta did “Stand By Me”, Cook did his new single “Time of My Life”, all of this intentioned to hype up the American Idols Live Tour which is coming to the Resch Center. You can win tickets to the show all next week on STAR 98.

By now, most people know that STAR Artist Leona Lewis’ hit "Bleeding Love" was written by fellow STAR Artists Jesse McCartney and OneRepublic’s singer Ryan Tedder. But would the song have been such a big hit if Jesse had kept it for his own album, as he originally planned? Well you can judge for yourself, because AOL's pop music blog,
Popeater.com, has posted the original version of "Bleeding Love," sung by Jesse, which has been floating around the Internet. So far, in a poll on the website, visitors are saying, 53% to 47%, that Jesse should've kept the track for himself. I defintely think Leona did it better.

Michelle Williams, the late Heath Ledger’s baby’s mama, has denied all reports that she isn’t attending the premiere of The Dark Knight. This just a day after the New York Post ran a story claiming that because she had a beef with Ledger’s family and how they handled his estate, she wasn’t gonna go. She actually hasn’t said she is going but whatever. The Dark Knight opens July 18th.

Michael Scott a.k.a. Steve Carell can look forward to putting in more long, hard, late nights at Dunder-Mifflin Scranton. At least, that's what he said. The "he" in this case being cocreator, executive producer and star of the original British version of "The Office", Ricky Gervais, who revealed in a posting on his official website that Steve Carell has renewed his contract for the NBC hit for another 3 years. "We are also working on a spinoff series of the American 'Office'," he wrote, "but I can't tell you anything about that yet."

Every other day, there's a story about how STAR Artist Madonna and Guy Ritchie are getting divorced. But yesterday, we came across one with an actual exit strategy included. Britain's Daily Mail tabloid claims that Madonna and Guy are going to formally announce their split when Madonna's tour ends on November 29th. A rep for Madonna was quick to refute the story, telling yesterday's New York Daily News the reports of a split are "not true."

David Hasselhoff/the original Michael Knight in "Knight Rider" told us, "I didn't get a chance to see the [new] show until the final product, and it was clearly not what it could've been. It's going to miss the target a little bit. It's like having “Indiana Jones” without Indiana Jones." The show was taped without any of his input.

STAR Artist Coldplay’s new album Viva La Vida duplicated its number one debuts in the UK, Japan, Australia, Canada and France today as Billboard announced it took the number one slot on the US album charts. Over 720,000 copies were sold in the first week.

Briefly:
STAR Artist Alicia Keys took home Favorite Female R&B singer last night at the BET Awards.

STAR Artist Timbaland has been named Songwriter of the Year at this year’s Rhythm and Soul Music Awards.
